NIGHT LIFE

I ventured a bit out of my "box", as I sometimes do, and painted this subject by using a bit more painterly approach just for the fun of it.  A cityscape, as viewed on a foggy, rainy evening, by a "first-nighter".

This is an 11" x 14" Oil on Canvas, which I have titled, "Night Life".
This painting just received a First Place in Painting, as well as a Best Of Show, at the Peoria Celebration of Artists, held at the West Valley Art Museum Gallery, in Peoria City Hall, Peoria, AZ.

  1. Beautiful! I live in San Francisco and your picture conjures my city very nicely. I am just starting to use oils and found your thread on the "wetcanvas" forum. I am going to try your Grumbacher 525 primer method. Thank you for posting the tip. I'll take all the clues and help I can get.
